EN   Francesca Mariano is a movement and sound artist, somatic and Reiki practitioner, with volcanic and marine origins in Southern Italy.
Her practice explores the nuances between connection and alienation, through dance, hydro-feminist research, electronic music fantasia and landscape choreology.
She is committed to creating and participating in spaces of experimentation and vibrant water circulation to remember our aquatic origins and foster healing, collectivity and Self. Central to her practice is the body as a vehicle of regeneration and transformation.


She is the creatrix of the dance projects Water Info Transmission and Archaeo-Choreology. In 2020 she co-founded Nuova Atlantide. She has created a movement technique named Sacred Gymnastics, fostering the connubium of shape, harmony, and synth cascade sound for digital dwellers.

Her work has been featured in international programs, performing and teaching, amongst others, at the University of California Santa Barbara UCSB, de Young Museum, the AA School of Architecture, Fondazione Lac O Le Mon, Studio Concreto, East Contemporary, Hot House Series, Virgin & Martyr, Combo, WOVO, Adidas Women, Zuma Festival.

IT     Francesca Mariano è un'artista del movimento e del suono, con origini vulcaniche e marine nel Sud Italia.
La sua pratica eplora le sfumature tra connessione e alienazione e prende forma attraverso laboratori di movimento e  performance, idro-femminismo, musica fantasy e coreologia del paesaggio.
Crea e partecipa a spazi di sperimentazione e circolazione liquida il cui elemento centrale è il corpo come veicolo di rigenerazione, ascolto e trasformazione.


È la creatrice dei progetti di sperimentazione corporea e sonora Water Info Transmission e Archaeo-Choreology. Nel 2020 ha co-fondato Nuova Atlantide. Ha creato una tecnica di movimento chiamata Sacred Gymnastics, che promuove il connubio tra forma, armonia e cascate di sintetizzatori per gli abitanti del digitale.
